Holding Power Of Different Glue brands

Problem Scenario:

I don't have anything that is a problem. I didn't run into any obstacles while using my resources. None.

Broad Question:

The holding power between Commercial Bought Glue and Homemade Glue.

Specific Question:

How dose the way glue is made affect the holding power?

Hypothesis:

It is hypothesized that commercial brand glue will have more holding power than the homemade glue.

  3. I will put an even amount of glue on two pieces of paper.

  5. I will wait about one hour.

Commercial bought brand glue had a better/longer holding power, although homemade glue dried faster. Commercial bought brand glue has a holding power of 80. Homemade glue has a holding power of 60.

Discussion:

When i did my experiment i got glue on both pieces of paper and then i shook them both, the one with the homemade glue fell of first. I decided to do the project the way i did because i needed to determine which glue dried the fastest and its sticking power. The results were that the commercial bought brand of glue dried faster but the homemade glue held longer.

Benefit to Community and/or Science:

Will tell what glue works better, and it might even be cheaper. So it'll work better and might even be cheaper.It will help because you could have an estimate of how long the glue will hold.

Abstract:

The project that i did is on holding power between glue types. It shows which type of glue has a stronger holding power. The glues were both evenly spread across the paper that was used for this project. Then i waited one hour for the glues to dry, and then when i checked on them it turned out that the commercial bought brand glue had the strongest holding power. The commercial brad glue was the glue that had the strongest holding power.
